Praying the Rosary
In the Catholic Church, the month of October is known as the Month of the Holy Rosary. During this month Christians, both in church and in the privacy of their home, offer up to Mary from their hearts an especially fervent and loving homage of prayer and veneration.
Every year, we send home a small statue of Mary, some Rosary beads and a leaflet explaining how to say the Rosary to enable our pupils to keep Our Lady in their thoughts and prayers. We like to send the items home with a different pupil each evening to be returned to school the following day. This can enable all pupils to participate. We begin by sending the Rosary packs home with our Foundation Stage children then work our way up the school.
If you wish for your child to participate, please could you let your child’s class teacher know via Dojo.
