Day 24 – Mood mapping
Create a map with a few emotions, feelings or moods as locations. Maybe use the ones that come up often in your journal. Have both positive and negative emotions. Use colours that you might associate with the feelings. Or draw what that feeling would look like if it was place. Then create ‘roads’ that list how to get from one to the other. For example, moving from angry to content you might list: deep breathing, exercise and listening to music. Then the other directions can be things that make you angry when you’ve been content, for example; rudeness, someone messing up your things, or getting food on new clothing.
The map will serve as a reminder of what makes you feel better and when to do these activities.
